Appli-Tear is the complete solution for any embroiderer to create virtually foolproof appliqués EVERY TIME! You will LOVE the texture and dimension of this amazing new product.

With Appli-Tear just lay the fabric over the target stitch, complete the border and tear away the extra Appli-Tear fabric. It is that easy! Appli-Tear removes the fear factor from appliqué, making it easy to add fantasy and fun to embroidery creations.

Instructions

• Place your garment in the embroidery frame without the Appli-Tear. Make sure that you use a Strong Tear Away Backing, such as our 90g Strong & Stiff backing.

• Put your frame in the machine.

• Place the Appli-Tear on top of the garment on the area to be embroidered.

• Do a tight satin stitch embroidery all the way around the outside of the design where you want to tear it away.

• Do a running stitch to hold down the fabric in place. Make sure this is slightly away from the Satin Stitch and not to short in length.

• When complete start at one end and tear away the Appli-Tear fabric.

• You can multi layer different colours of the Appli-Tear, one colour at a time and when each colour is complete just tear the Appli-Tear away, one piece at a time.

• Stand back and admire your work.

• If you have any concerns about the Appli-Tear stability on your fabric. We can supply this with a fusible web coating on the back so you can iron over the Appli-Tear afterwards to get extra adhesion to the fabric!

Correct digitising is very important to make these materials work effectively . If in doubt, we can provide you with a special digitising service for this material.
