3D Foam Topping

This is a special compact foam that can be used on top of the fabric to produce a 3D effect. The foam can be torn away after stitching. It is advisable to alter the stitch design to make best use of this unique product.

This is a special HARD foam that is easy to sew and tears away clean without stretching or pulling. We are the market leaders in supply of embroidery 3D foam.
Sold in sheets of 75cm x 50cm each.

Thickness 2-3 mm

• The digitising has to be done especially for 3D foam. The statin stitch border has to be tight and condensed.
• The thread tensions need to be reduced so the foam is not compressed down.
• The 3D foam lays inside the frame and does not need to be in the ring. You can use temporary adhesive spray to hold it in place if required.
• Use Fablube spray on the 3D foam to lubricate the needles during embroidery
• Use SD1 needles.
• Use lower machine speed.
• Tear away the 3D foam after completion of embroidery.
